On the top surface of the bakelite there is a red 'dot', with the word 'PLUMB' written above in in white lettering. Also is stamped 'Dr Plumb Dinky', into the side of the briar shank. Here you can see the stem seperated from the shank of the pipe, revealing the metal filter. This should be removed periodically to avoid tar build up.
