This is just one of many pipes to leave the Bjarne factory. Smooth finish, so there are no 'rusticated' patches on the wood. All one can see is the tremendous grain of the briar root. On closer inspection, you will notice that the grain of the briar is almost vertical up the sides of the bowl. This is an indication of supreme quality. You will also note, that the top surface of the pipe, at the bowl surface, has been left unfinished, apart from polishing of course; the effect is stunning, as you can see the full beauty of the top surface of the briar root.
